I went for another round of nerve blocks yesterday and I had a significant hit while waiting in the doctor's office, so I took a shot of Imitrex. I was still a bit shaky from the trex while he was giving me shots in the brow, face, side and back of head and down my neck. I have to say, it felt awful, and I followed with a pretty nasty set of hits the next day. For some reason, this round of blocks doesn't seem to be working yet. I wonder if the trex has anything to do with that.

Not sure on that one.

The first time Phil had ONB it was AWESOME!!! He was PF for about 7 days :)

Each time after that the PF time got shorter and shorter so he said to heck with it. It's not like he really enjoys getting needles jabbed into his head, but it's not like he enjoys get slammed with CH either.

I'd take the nerve block pain any day over the cluster pain. It's like taking a few bee stings instead of a spear. After a couple of days the block is doing better, but still have an ongoing shadow. Hopefully I'm not at the end of the leash for blocks.

I hear you Chris and Phil does feel the same way, but he's not getting that much relief from it anymore. I think the last time he didn't even get a full day of relief :(

Man, that's definitely not worth it. I've had two times where I actually felt worse. Now THAT sucks. Overall though, getting a week or so of relief means a lot to me, and that's usually what I get - a week to 10 days. Doesn't stop the hits, just the mean shadows.
